Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month

October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month, and the KYMA team is wearing ribbons to honor and remember all the babies who are no longer here while spreading awareness.

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month. This is a time designated to remember the babies lost to miscarriage, stillbirth, or infant death, and to support grieving families.

You will notice the KYMA team is wearing pink and blue ribbons, this is to honor and remember all the babies and to spread more awareness here in our community. We also want families to know the KYMA team sends love and support to the thousands of families who experience loss each year.

On Wednesday, October 15 is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day, and we ask the community to participate in the Wave of Light. This is where everyone lights a candle at 7:00 p.m. in every time zone for one hour to remember all the babies who are no longer here.

This continuous wave of light crossing the globe symbolizes a unified vigil of remembrance and support.
