Seasonable and pleasant weather continues through the week
We are staying away from the triple-digits as highs will continue to trend seasonable and in the mid to upper 90s for the rest of the week. Tracking some winds and cooler temperatures for the weekend.
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - Happy October 1st! Before we turn the page on September, let's celebrate that September was a cool month overall, as we had more days below-normal. Take a look at our high temperatures for Yuma last month.

Here's a look at the September 2025 Climate Summary. Yuma had ABOVE-NORMAL precipitation. As for temperatures, Yuma had a slightly below normal mean temperature.

For the first evening of October, we are in for a comfortable and nice evening ahead. Skies will be clear, with light winds and cooler temperatures. Perfect weather to enjoy a pumpkin spice latte for National Pumpkin Spice Day!
Overnight lows will cool into the low 70s and upper 60s by tomorrow morning.

Quiet and seasonable temperatures will persist for the next few days here in the Desert Southwest.
An area of low-pressure system will dive in the Desert Southwest later this week and into the weekend, leading to breezy conditions and cooler temperatures.

Sunny skies will be sticking with us, and daytime highs will continue to trend near normal for the rest of the week.
Temperatures will cool into the low 90s and upper 80s this weekend and early next week. We will have breezy conditions with winds 20-30 MPH Friday and Saturday. Looks like we are going to have nice temperatures, but some winds for Tacos and Tune Friday and Saturday.
I am tracking changes later next week, where we will have more clouds and higher moisture, so that means we may have potential for rain showers. Still too far, so I will bring updates as we get closer.

Now that it's fall and we have started October, this is a sign that temperatures will get noticeably cooler in the months ahead.
By November 1st, our average high for Yuma will be in the low and mid 80s, and then by December, our average will be in the low 70s. This is the time of year we all have been waiting for!
