Warmer than normal temperatures through the middle of the week

Highs will trend in the low 100s through Wednesday. I am tracking cooler temperatures and rain chances later this week.

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - Happy Tuesday! We have warmer temperatures than what we felt yesterday as afternoon highs reached low 100s this afternoon.

Today is Arizona's Special Election, so if you are heading to the voting centers this evening, we will have clear skies, light winds, warm temperatures, and humid conditions. Voting centers close at 7 p.m., so get your ballots in.

A ridge of high pressure to our north will warm up our temperatures and keep weather conditions pretty calm and somewhat dry.

A lower pressure system will hangout off to the west for now, but will move in later this week to bring in cooler temperatures and possible moisture back to the Desert Southwest.

Temperatures will trend warmer than normal through Thursday with highs in the low 100s. Wednesday will be the warmest day of the week with highs reaching 106.

Good news, we will have cooler temperatures and another round of rain chances starting Friday. I will keep tracking and bring more details as we get closer.
