Seasonal start to the week with increasing rain chances this week
It's a sunny, calm, and dry start to the week with seasonable temperatures. Tracking tropical storm Mario to bring higher humidity and rain chances to the Desert Southwest this week.
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA)- Temperatures this afternoon are warmer than what we experienced the last several days, with highs in the low 100s, but that is seasonal for this time of year.
Monday is also National Double Cheeseburger Day, so take advantage of going to your favorite burger joint to enjoy a double cheeseburger. We will have light winds, clear skies, and temperatures slowly cooling through the night. It will feel a little humid as dew points will be in the 50s and 60s.

A current ridge of high pressure will keep our weather calm, sunny, and dry through at least Tuesday before changes start to move in starting Wednesday.

TRACKING THE TROPICS: Tropical Storm Mario dissipated on Saturday, but Mario made a comeback and redeveloped in the Pacific again on Sunday.
Right now, Mario's path is moving northward, which is expected to steer moisture to the Desert Southwest this week and could see another round of above-normal rainfall. It's still early, but I'm watching closely and will bring updates.

Rain chances will be possible starting on Wednesday, with the greatest chances across the Desert Southwest will favor Thursday and Friday.
Rain totals are still uncertain, but will give details as it gets closer.

Tracking high humidity and rain showers for multiple days this week from the remnants of Tropical Storm Mario. The higher moisture will cool down our temperatures slightly below average through the week, but it will also be humid.
Clearer skies and drier conditions, with warmer temperatures will return next week to welcome the first day of fall. However, for the first week of the fall season we will have a warm-up bringing in above-normal temperatures.
