Wanted U.S. fugitive arrested in San Luis, Mexico

SAN LUIS, Mexico (KYMA, KECY) - A U.S. fugitive wanted for assault with a firearm was arrested in San Luis, Mexico.

The Sonora Attorney General's Office says 32-year-old Gilbert "N" had an arrest warrant out of Sydney, Nebraska.

The suspect was located following a coordinated investigation between Mexican and U.S. authorities.

He was handed over to U.S. authorities at the San Luis Port of Entry Saturday.
