Amazon expands Prime Day to four days for the first time

(CNN, KYMA/KECY) - Amazon's popular Prime Day sale is back and this year, shoppers have even more time to score deals.

The e-commerce giant kicked off its annual summer shopping event Tuesday, marking its second decade of hosting Prime Day.

For the first time since 2017, Amazon is expanding the sale beyond its usual two-day window.

This year, Prime Day will run for four full days, from Tuesday through Friday, July 11, doubling the usual 48-hour savings window and giving shoppers extra opportunities to grab discounts on everything from electronics to household essentials.

The milestone change comes as Amazon looks to keep the momentum strong for one of its biggest shopping events of the year.
