Arizona men charged for assaulting FBI agents after migrant arrest

PHOENIX (KYMA, KECY) - Two men were charged on June 10 for assaulting federal officers, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office District of Arizona.
Jose Sarinana, 42, and Abran Villa Jr., 40, were charged with the following:
- Assaulting federal officers
- Resisting federal officers
- Impeding federal officers
The Attorney's Office says on June 1, FBI agents were helping in an immigration enforcement operation with ICE/ERO.
Agents pulled over Villa's vehicle and arrested an illegal migrant who was a passenger.
Villa later returned to the passenger's home and told Sarinana, where both men went back to where the arrest happened.
The men took separate vehicles and followed an FBI agent at the scene of the arrest.
Sarinana attempted to run the agent off the road as more federal officers were called.
Other agents arrived on scene and arrested Sarinana as Villa threatened to ram agents with his truck. Villa was taken into custody after the federal officers unholstered their guns.
