Tracking more above-normal heat for this week

Temperatures are still going to trend very warm and above normal throughout the week. I am tracking another round where temperatures could climb to the 110 mark

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Dry conditions and temperatures trending above normal are expected to continue this week as a ridge of high dominates the area.

Plenty of sunshine will be with us this week and slightly breezier conditions by the middle of the week.

I am tracking hotter temperatures again later this week as daytime highs will climb back to the 110 mark.

TRACKING THE TROPICS: I am tracking 2 named tropical storms that formed in the eastern Pacific this weekend.

Tropical Storm Barbara has upgraded to Cat 1 Hurricane as of this morning and is expected to weaken by Tuesday. Tropical Storm Cosme also could develop into a hurricane sometime this week.

Not tracking major impacts to the Desert Southwest, but I will continue to track and bring updates.
