Temperatures are warming to the triple digits!
A strong ridge of high pressure will take over later this week, leading to our temperatures well above average and in the low 100s by Friday.
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY-TV) - This morning, Yuma got a little light shower, but it wasn't enough to make it measurable.
The recorded rain total for Yuma today was "T," which means TRACE, and that's when some precipitation fell, but the amount was too small to be measured.
Heading into the evening, we can expect cooler and more comfortable temperatures.
As our current weather system continues to move further east, a ridge of high pressure will be moving in boosting our temperatures above normal by Thursday.
Temperatures will warm in the 90s by Thursday, with low 100s by Friday. The warmest day of the week is looking on Saturday as highs will be in the mid 100s.
For Mother's Day, I am tracking increasing clouds, slightly cooler temps, and stronger winds with similar conditions going into early next week.
