Tracking above-normal warmth and breezier conditions throughout the week
A strong ridge of high pressure continues to bring in unseasonable and record temperatures for the next few days. I am tracking breezier and cooler conditions later this week.
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY-TV) - NEW DAILY RECORD BROKEN FOR EL CENTRO!!!! El Centro broke today's daily record highs this afternoon. El Centro hit 99°, beating their record of 94° that was set back in 1988 and 2022. Yuma was so close to tying and possibly beating today's record, just wasn't enough to make the mark. These are the warmest temps of the year so far!

An unseasonable and strong ridge of high pressure will begin to shift eastward, which will slowly cool down our temperatures, but still keep our daytime highs about 10° above normal and in the 90s for the next few days.

I am tracking breezier conditions by the middle of the week, especially for Imperial County with gusts between 20-25 MPH.
Stronger winds are expected to move in Thursday evening and become more widespread on Friday, where we can expect breezy and occasionally windy conditions at times.

Temperatures will start to decrease on Wednesday, but still going to be trending in the 90s range through Thursday.
Tracking temperatures to cool to the 80s with stronger winds later this week and into the weekend with more clouds.
