ASU lands Miller, who was the most sought after mid-major coach in America with numerous SEC Universities and others seeking her services.

PHOENIX, Ariz. ( KYMA, KECY-TV ) - In the waning hours after the Grand Canyon women's basketball team lost their first ever NCAA tournament game, head coach Molly Miller is leaving GCU for the vacant Arizona State head coaching position.

Contract details are yet to be disclosed but the two sides have agreed in principle on the hire according to multiple reports.

This past season, Miller led the Grand Canyon women's team to the program's first Western Athletic Conference title and NCAA tournament appearance.

The Lopes fell to Baylor in the opening round of the NCAA tournament 73-60. Miller guided the Lopes to a school record 32 wins along with the nation's longest winning streak of 30 games.

Miller spent the last five years at GCU, she inherited a program that had gone 15-12 a year before her arrival and was 7-20 in the two previous years before Miller arrived in Phoenix.
