US Attorney’s Office files over 90 border-related cases this week
SAN DIEGO (KYMA, KECY) - The U.S. Attorney's Office of the Southern California District released their weekly number of cases filed.
Charges included transportation of migrants, bringing migrants for financial gain and reentering the U.S. after deportation.
Cases are overseen within 140-miles from the U.S.-Mexico border, encompassing San Diego and Imperial Counties.
The Attorney's Office includes referenced the following:
- Two Mexican nationals were arrested on March 20, 2025, accused of transporting 14 migrants
- One Mexican national was arrested on March 17, 2025, charged after hiding behind brush. He was previously deported on March 6.
- A U.S. citizen was charged for smuggling two Chinese citizens into the U.S. on march 17
