Still staying a little breezy through today with cooler temperatures. Later in the week temperatures will begin to gradually warm up.

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY-TV) - We had some very strong winds in both Yuma and El Centro Monday through Tuesday morning.

Just by looking at our wind recap you can see El Centro had their strongest winds Monday evening with the highest gusts of 49 MPH. Then late in the night and early this morning, winds moved in Yuma giving us the highest wind gusts of also 49 MPH.

Winds are much lighter and calmer today for most areas making it a beautiful evening with clear skies and cooler temperatures.

It will be a great evening to enjoy Taco Tuesday on the patio or indoors, whichever you prefer.

As this current weather system exits our area it will lighten up our winds and keeping our temperatures slightly cooler than normal at least through the middle of the week.

Get ready a big warm-up is on the way! Take a look at our temperature outlook in the days ahead, we are going to be warming up to well above normal and even record temperatures in the foreseeable future.

Temperatures will warm to near seasonable levels by first day of Spring and be in the low 80s.

However, temperatures will significantly rise later this weekend and into next week where highs will climb into the 90s.
