US Attorney’s Office files over 100 border-related cases in one week

SAN DIEGO (KYMA, KECY) - More than 100 border-related cases were filed this week, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.

Crimes filed include areas within 140 miles of Mexico's border, such as San Diego and the Imperial Valley.

The Attorney's Office says the following were included in the list of charges:

  • Transportation of illegal migrants
  • Reentering the U.S. after deportation
  • Importation of controlled substances
  • Assault of a federal officer

Border-related crimes can be made by U.S. citizens and migrants
