Volkswagens on the River show for charity to be held in March

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - A local event is set for March 8 at the Yuma County Fairgrounds.

Volkswagen on the River is holding a charity event with proceeds going to local charities.

The event starts Friday, March 7 with a car show on Saturday, March 8.

"We're trying to get Volkswagens together. What we're doing is a charity event. It's gonna help out Crossroads Mission," said George Manzanares, of a local Yuma car club.

There will be raffles, events for kids, food, drinks and a beer garden.

Spectator entrance is $2, with kids 12 & under entering for free.
