Tracking an unseasonable warm-up with temperatures eventually reaching the 90s

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY-TV) - As a few weak weather systems work their way to the north it will be feeling a little breezy throughout today.

Stronger winds will be expected for Friday with winds coming from the north and winds gusts between 20-30 MPH.

The main focus will be a strong high pressure that will build across the region by Sunday and last well into the next week, delivering well-above-normal temperatures.

The good news is we will have lots of sunshine and dry conditions as we head into the weekend. The BBQ and Brew Fest is this Friday and Saturday in Downtown Yuma just wear light layers and lather up on sunscreen because it will be warm.

Heads up, temperatures are expected to reach the 90s by Tuesday and I will be watching for record-high temperatures as well. Record aren't looking too likely, but it will still be close.

On our current temperature outlook, this unseasonable warming trend, will bring our temperatures are 10-20° above our seasonal averages.

Get ready for a pretty warm end of February!
