Homes catch fire after small plane crashes in Philadelphia

(KYMA, KECY/CBS) - A small plane has reportedly crashed and its explosion resulted in injuries, according to Philadelphia police and CBS News.

Emergency crews are on scene at Northeast Philadelphia as an explosion had nearby homes catch fire.

Injuries have been reported but the victims’ status is not immediately available.

CBS says the reason for the crash is currently unknown.
