Excessive heat moving in for the final weekend of June

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY-TV) - Noticeably drier conditions move in today and even more so for Saturday.

Hot conditions will persist through early next week as temperatures will trend at least 5 degrees or more above normal.

The hottest day will be on Sunday with even hotter temperatures starting toward the end of next week.

An Excessive Heat WATCH is issued and will go into effect for portions of Southeastern California on Sunday through Friday.

I am tracking more monsoonal moisture moving in on Sunday filtering higher moisture levels to our area.

However, no rain is in the forecast, but there are small chances for light showers and sticker conditions for the Desert Southwest on Sunday.
