Chilly rest of the week and windy for Thursday

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Another Freeze Warning will go into effect for portions of Yuma, Imperial, and La Paz Counties from 1 a.m. until 9 a.m. (MST) Wednesday morning for temperatures in the lower 30s.

Another quick moving storm system will arrive late Wednesday into Thursday, bringing windy conditions to the Desert Southwest and rain/snow chances to portions of the region.

Breezier conditions will begin late Wednesday night with gustier winds starting Thursday morning, where gusts 30+ MPH will be expected across the area.

Patchy blowing dust will be an impact from these strong winds on Thursday.

Well-below normal high temperatures with freezing low temperatures will persist across the Desert Southwest through the remainder of this week.

Temperatures will warm back up to our seasonal average for Martin Luther King Jr Day.
