Seasonable start to the week followed by cooler days ahead
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY-TV) - We are starting off the week with seasonable temperatures before a fast moving weather disturbance moves from the North Tuesday, which will bring slightly cooler temperatures for the first half of the week.
Strong westerly winds are making an impact on the western part of the Desert Southwest with the highest expected gusts of 30 MPH.
Stronger winds are expected for the valley through the evening with lighter winds for Yuma county areas, but still can be breezy at times with gusts of 20-25 MPH.
Stronger and gusty conditions will stay off to the west in Southern California, with a Wind Advisory in place for the Southwest corner of Imperial Valley until 7 a.m. (PST) Tuesday (TOMORROW) for highest gusts peaking up to 50 MPH.
Cooler than normal temperatures will arrive tomorrow where highs will remain in the upper 60s for the upcoming days before slightly warmer days return for the weekend.
A main focus with our temperatures this week will be our overnight lows have potential where some areas could experience some freezing morning temperatures.
