Clorox recalling certain cleaning products

UNITED STATES (KYMA, KECY) - Clorox is recalling several cleaning products over possible bacteria contamination.

The recall includes the Oakland, California-based company's scented multi-surface cleaners and all-purpose cleaners.

Roughly 37 million Pine-Sol products are being pulled that were sold between January 2021 and September 2022, which may contain the bacteria pseudomonas aeruginosa.

An environmental organism found widely in soil and water.

The company's original pine-scented Pine-Sol is not included in the recall.

According to the consumer product safety commission, the bacteria can enter the body if inhaled, through the eyes or through a break in the skin.

Customers can identify the affected products by looking for the date codes that are printed on the bottles.

The company says the products should be disposed of immediately and consumers can contact Pine-Sol for a full refund.
