Drop in temperatures with an increase in rain chances for the weekend

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY-TV) - Conditions are staying nice and dry through our Friday with slightly cooler temperatures.

Afternoon highs will still trend a few degrees above-normal before a major cooling trend kicks in for the weekend.

Big drop in our temperatures comes tomorrow as we will experience highs in the mid-80s with even cooler temperatures for our Sunday.

An increase in moisture will bring us greater rain chances starting tomorrow afternoon through Sunday morning across the Desert Southwest.

Heavy rainfall, gusty winds, and even localized flooding are all possible risks with these storms.

For the forecasted rainfall within our area, there is a Flood Watch issued for portions of the Desert Southwest which will include Quartzsite and Imperial Valley from 8 A.M. Saturday until 5 A.M. Sunday.
