Donald Trump drops campaign video after the FBI raid on Mar-a-Lago home

(KYMA, KECY/ CNN) - Former President Donald Trump says "the best is yet to come."

That's his message in a new campaign-style video posted on his website 'Truth Social' that dropped early Tuesday morning.

The post comes just hours after the FBI executed a search at his home in Mar-a-Lago on a judge-approved warrant, which indicated they had probable grounds to believe a crime has been committed.

It's part of an investigation into the possible mishandling of Presidential documents, including classified documents that sources say may have been brought there.

Searching the home of a former President is very rare and Trump has been fundraising off the search, saying he's being unfairly persecuted. In turn, this has fired up supporters ahead of a potential 2024 run.

Here's what was said in the video on Truth Social:

"We're a nation that has weaponized it's law enforcement against the opposing political party like never before, we've never seen anything like this. We're a nation that no longer has a free and fair press. Fake news is about all you get. We are a nation where free speech is no longer allowed, where crime is rampant like never before, where the economy has been collapsing, where more people died of covid in 2021 than in 2020."

Some Republicans picked up Trump's lead, reacting furiously, demanding the Justice Department explain itself, and claiming the ex-President was victim of a political vendetta.

The White House says President Joe Biden was unaware of the search of Mar-a-Lago until after it was reported on the news.

This search is related to one of two known active investigations connected to Trump.

The other is focused on efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election and the events surrounding the January 6th attack on the U.S. Capitol.
