Former Arizona real estate agent found guilty of wire fraud and money laundering

PHOENIX (KYMA, KECY) - A woman from Arizona was sentenced to nearly 4 years in prison for wire fraud and money laundering.

41-year-old Sarah Nicole Kelley was found guilty for wire fraud and money laundering, then was sentenced to 46 months and was ordered to pay over $190,000 in restitution.

Kelley's trial had evidence of her defrauding someone out of $185,000 since Kelley is a former real estate agent, she convinced a family friend to invest into a project and obtain a loan.

Kelley then used the money for her personal debts with no intention of helping the victim.

Another family friend was also found to have been defrauded of an additional $647,000 and Kelley provided fake testimony while under oath.
