WASHINGTON (KYMA, KECY) - Senator Sinema (D-AZ) made a statement asking the Biden Administration Title 42, however, the Arizona Senator also wishes for a plan to be in place to protect local communities.

“The Administration’s extension of public health emergency authorities proves the need to delay lifting Title 42 to protect the health and safety of Arizona communities and migrants. I’ll keep pushing for transparency and accountability from the Administration to help secure the border, keep Arizona communities safe, and ensure migrants are treated fairly and humanely,” Sen. Sinema expressed.

Arizona's Senators recently made a legislation to make sure there is a workable plan before Title 42 ends.

Sinema called for the Department of Homeland Security to communicate alongside government partners more efficiently, as well as speaking with Secretary Mayorkas who has agreed to move forward with a plan.
