UPDATE: Shooting victim identified
Editor's note: The Yuma County Sheriff's Office (YCSO) initially identified a person of interest in their investigation. YCSO has located and interviewed that person and did not make an arrest. We have removed the person's name and image from this article.
On Saturday, YCSO identified the shooting victim as 28 year old Juan Alfredo Ruiz. Next of kin has been notified.
At this time, no arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - On Monday, YCSO responded to a call of shots fired 5th Street just West of Avenue B around 12:30 a.m. and found an unresponsive man with multiple gunshot wounds upon arrival.
Although lifesaving measures were performed, the victim was pronounced dead on the scene.
