Senator Sinema announces Service Academy nominees, one from Yuma

WASHINGTON (KYMA, KECY) - Senator Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) nominated over 50 Arizona students for Service Academies in its 2022-2023 school year, with one student coming from Yuma's Cibola High School.

“It is my honor to nominate these outstanding, dedicated young Arizonans to our nation’s Service Academies. This year’s nominees and their dedication to serving our country and keeping us all safe and secure represent the best of our state,” expressed Senator Sinema.

These nominees were chosen from several different Arizona counties, including Yuma.

Arizona's senior Senator is able to nominate students who are interested in joining the U.S. Service Academies to serve in their choice of the Armed Forces.
