School to close after increasing Coronavirus cases

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - On Monday, Antelope Union High School made an announcement regarding the temporary closure of the school due to rising COVID-19 cases.

The school released a letter explaining the numerous Coronavirus-related cases exposed to students, teachers and staff within the school.

Antelope school has switched to online learning on Tuesday and may reopen on Monday, 7 if cases do not increase by then.

Custodians will be conducting deep cleaning during that time and the Food Service Department will speak to families about food delivery.

Extracurricular activities are still scheduled to continue with softball practice starting on Feburary 2.
