28k pounds of ground beef recalled for E. coli sold in Arizona and California stores

Calif. Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - More than 28,000 pounds of ground beef have been recalled due to possible E. coli contamination.

The meat was sold at WinCo, Albertsons, Kroger, and Walmart stores.

The ground beef was produced on December 20 2021 and shipped to retailers in Arizona, California, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming.

The recalled items have an establishment number of EST965.

You can find that number either inside the USDA mark of inspection or next to the timestamp and 'use' or 'freeze by' date.

All of the recalled products have a 'use' or 'freeze by' date of January 11 2022.
