Federal appeals court freezes Biden admin’s corporate vaccine rule

Claims there are "grave statutory and constitutional" issues with it

WASHINGTON, D.C. (KYMA, KECY/NBC) - The U.S. Court of Appeals has frozen President Joe Biden's vaccine rule for companies.

A three-judge panel granted a stay Saturday freezing the administration's vaccine mandate for large companies.

The panel claims there are "Grave statutory and constitutional" issues with the mandate.

This decision comes after several states filed legal challenges against the rule, which would require American companies with at least 100 employees to be vaccinated against COVID-19 or submit to testing weekly.

The mandate is set to take effect on Tuesday, January 4, through the occupational safety and health administration.

As of Saturday afternoon, the White House has not publicly commented on the ruling.
