Circle K suspected robber on the run

Suspect apparently headed south on S. 4th Avenue

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - The Yuma Police Department (YPD) responded to a robbery Wednesday morning at Circle K, S. 4th Ave. and 18th St., just after 5 a.m.

Investigators report a man entered the gas station demanding money. According to Public Affairs Sergeant Lori Franklin, the suspect kept his hands in his pocket and did not openly show a weapon while apparently threatening the store clerk.

Sgt. Franklin confirms he then ran away on foot, heading southbound with an undisclosed amount of money.

She describes the suspect as, "wearing blue jeans, a dark jacket and a mask."

The YPD adds that no injuries were reported, nor is there any other information at this time.
