Suspect with felony arrest warrant leads to unintentional shooting

Police say no one was injured

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - The Yuma Police Department attempting to locate a wanted suspect, resulted in an officer-involved shooting.

There was heavy police activity on 4th Ave. and W 21st Street.

We asked police if the suspect was armed but they are not releasing that information due to the ongoing investigation.

One patrol car was seen smashed into the back of a vehicle which was later identified as the suspect's car.

No injuries were reported in the shooting.

The suspect was taken into custody.

Several Yuma police officers blocked off W 21st Street and nearby businesses with caution tape.

The incident happened in the early morning hours sometime before 3 a.m.
