Two arrests made in fatal road rage shooting involving a 6-year-old boy
Both will be charged with murder, according to the Costa Mesa Police Department
COSTA MESA, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) - Two people were arrested for the alleged road rage shooting that took the life of a 6-year-old boy.
The Costa Mesa Police Department says California Highway Patrol (CHP) made the arrest Sunday at the suspects' home.
Aiden Anthony Leos was killed after at least one round was fired from the white Volkswagen, believed to be occupied by the two suspects.
The shooting occurred on SR-55 in the Orange County area on May 21, 2021.
CHP Border Division Chief Omar Watson thanks the southern California community for its "indescribable outpouring of concern and hundred of tips."
CHP will be working with the Orange County District Attorney to investigate the incident.
