Las Vegas casinos moving to 100 percent capacity on June 1

(KYMA, KECY) - Las Vegas hits another milestone as its casinos start opening at full capacity on Tuesday.

MGM Resorts International said nine of its resorts on the Las Vegas Strip would return to 100% capacity with no social distancing on gaming floors. The nine properties in the waiver are the following:

  • Bellagio Resort & Casino
  • ARIA Resort & Casino
  • MGM Grand Hotel & Casino
  • Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino
  • Park MGM
  • The Mirage Hotel & Casino
  • New York-New York Hotel & Casino
  • Luxor Hotel and Casino 
  • Excalibur Hotel & Casino

According to MGM Resorts, it has taken the proper steps to prevent the spread of COVID-19. In addition, mask mandates and other health and safety protocols will remain in effect for nongaming floors, including restaurants and pools.
