Narcotics Task Force busts couple for meth, finds equipment to distribute
Drugs found in 'trap house' worth nearly $20K
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - On Friday morning at approximately 6:32, the Yuma County Narcotics Task Force (YCNTF) served a narcotics search warrant at a residence in the 1700 block of S. Avenue A.
The YCNTF is a multi-agency task force comprised of officers and agents from the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office (YCSO), Yuma Police Department, U.S. Border Patrol, U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and Homeland Security Investigations.
Authorities discovered about 2.18 pounds of packaged methamphetamines at the residence, with an estimated street value of $19,606.
Investigators also discovered packaging materials, surveillance equipment, scales and other items of paraphernalia.
The YCNTF arrested and booked both residents of the home, Reynaldo Perez, 55, of Yuma, and Mary Fassett, 53, of Yuma, for Possession of Dangerous Drugs for Sales, Possession of Dangerous Drugs, Possession of Narcotic Drugs for Sales, Possession of Narcotic Drugs, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Endangerment.
