Yuma Border Patrol finds three more unaccompanied children crossing border

Siblings from Honduras discovered near Morelos Dam

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - U.S. Border Patrol Yuma Sector encountered a 12-year-old boy and his sisters, ages 8 and 6, Wednesday afternoon whom had just crossed the border from Mexico hours earlier.

Agents discovered the trio by themselves near the Morelos Dam. The children identified as Honduran.

Per Border Patrol, one of the girls had a paper taped to her with phone numbers on it.

They were taken into custody and transported to the Yuma Border Patrol station for further processing.

Yuma's area of responsibility is located in the southeast corner of Arizona and is comprised of approximately 181,670 square miles of primarily desert terrain securing 126 miles of U.S. border from the Imperial Sand Dunes in California to the Yuma-Pima County line.
