Coronavirus cases surpass 5,000 in Sonora

HERMOSILLO, Sonora (KYMA, KECY)-Health officials in Sonora confirm 99 new coronavirus cases along with 15 new deaths.

As of Monday evening, Sonora has 5,062 cases and 432 deaths. Hermosillo keeps leading the state with the most cases, followed by Cajeme, Nogales, and San Luis Rio Colorado (SLRC). However, SLRC leads the state with the highest death toll.

Since March 16, 9,148 patients have been tested, 4,086 patients have tested negative, 512 patients have been discharged, 3,651 patients show mild symptoms, 467 patients remain hospitalized, 98 patients are in stable condition, 304 patients are in serious conditions, and 65 patients are on ventilators.

The new cases were confirmed in the following cities; SLRC 36, Nogales 22, Hermosillo 18, Cajeme 12, Agua Prieta 3, Guaymas 3, Navojoa 2, Empalme 1, Caborca 1, Naco 1.

The new deaths were confirmed in the following cities; Nogales 4, Cajeme 4, Agua Prieta 2, Hermosillo 2, Magdalena 1, SLRC 1, Altar 1.
