Border Patrol discovers 3 individuals hidden inside a semi-trailer

SALTON CITY, Calif. (KYMA, KECY)-A man is arrested after Border Patrol agents found three undocumented immigrants in the cabin of his trailer Tuesday evening.

The man driving a white 2016 Freightliner semi tractor-trailer was sent to further inspection at the Highway 86 immigration checkpoint after a canine alerted to the cabin area of his truck, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection

When agents searched the cabin area of the semi-truck, they discovered three undocumented immigrations hiding with blankets.

The driver, a 43-year-old with a visa holder from Mexico, and the three undocumented immigrants from Mexico were placed under arrest.

The driver was processed administratively for human smuggling and visa cancelation.  The driver and the undocumented immigrants were all expelled back to Mexico.
