Health officials say over 20 hospital employees test positive for COVID-19 in Sonora
HERMOSILLO, Sonora (KYMA, KECY)-Health officials report 10 new deaths and 108 new COVID-19 cases in Sonora.
The 10 deaths were confirmed in the following cities; Cajeme 3, Navojoa 2, Caborca 1, Nogales 1, San Luis Rio Colorado 1 , Hermosillo 1, Magdalena 1.
Officials say two doctors residing in San Luis Rio Colorado and Cajeme died of the coronavirus. Sonora now has a total of 139 deaths.
The new 108 cases were reported in 51 women, and 57 men, bringing the total of cases to 1,809.
The following cases were confirmed in the following cities; Cajeme 25, San Luis Rio Colorado 23, Hermosillo 20, Nogales 9, Caborca 8, Agua Prieta 7, Navojoa 5, Guaymas 3, Magdalena 3, Pitiquito 2, Nacozari 1, Alamos 1, Altar 1.
Two pediatric cases were confirmed from Magdalena and Hermosillo. Brings up the total of 25 pediatric cases in Sonora.
25 medical employees of the new cases have tested positive for the virus.
