Lane closure on US 95 near Quartzsite
Drivers should expect delays and allow extra travel time
(KYMA, KECY)-Drivers, expect delays on US 95 near Quartzsite beginning early March.
The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan ahead for lane closures. Maintenance crews are scheduled to crack seal application work south of Quartzsite.
ADOT says the work is part of a multiple pavement preservation projects on highways across the state.
The following restrictions will occur from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. beginning Monday, Mar. 2, and ending Friday, Mar. 6, and then resume on Monday, Mar. 9, and ending on Wednesday, Mar. 11.
- Alternating lane closures will occur on northbound and southbound US 95 between milepost 80 and La Posa South Long Term Visitor Area (milepost 95.6).
- Flaggers and a pilot car will direct motorists through the work zone,
- The speed limit will be reduced to 45 mph.
- A 16-foot vehicle width restriction will be in place.
