Fetus found inside restroom in Mexicali
MEXICALI, Baja California (KYMA, KECY)- A fetus was found inside the toilet tank in Mexicali Tuesday.
La Voz de la Frontera reports that Mexican police received calls about a foul odor in a business located on Avenida Castellon and Hacienda Corralejo in Mexicali.
Business employees told police the odor led them to the discovery of a fetus in the toilet tank.
According to La Voz, employees said a few days ago a woman between the ages of 20-25 years old asked to use the restroom.
The employees told police that the woman was in the restroom for a while and noticed bloodstains on her clothes before she left.
After police arrived at the scene, they confirmed the fetus had been there for more than 5 days.
Mexican authorities sent the fetus to a Medical Examiner for investigation.
