Arrest Made In Southern California Fwy, BB-Gun Incidents
(KYMA/KECY) - California authorities arrested a person of interest for a rash of BB and pellet gun shootings on Southern California highways.
Jesse Rodriguez is facing charges of assault with a deadly weapon.
Authorities say they were able to identify Rodriguez through victims of the shootings.
More than 100-vehicles were struck along the 91 freeway over the past two months, according to the California Highway Patrol.
In many cases, the projectiles shattered windows or did damage to the body of a vehicle. At least one non-life-threatening injury was reported.
Rodriguez's bail is set at $750-thousand dollars. According to jail records, he's scheduled to appear in court Friday morning.
