Wife of Supreme Court Justice voluntarily meets with January 6th Committee ahead of final hearing
(KYMA, KECY/ CNN) - The House Select Committee investigating the attack on the U.S. Capitol isn't done yet - still holding at least one more public hearing, although it's not clear when.
That's after Hurricane Ian caused the postponement of Wednesday's scheduled session.
In the meantime, the wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas - Ginni Thomas - voluntarily met with the committee for more than four hours Thursday.
The panel said it wanted to know about text messages Thomas sent to former President Donald Trump's Chief of Staff Mark Meadows and his attorney, John Eastman.
Both were instrumental in trying to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential race.
Two sources say Thomas told the committee that she keeps her politics separate from her husband's work. The committee chair says she also reiterated her belief the 2020 presidential race was stolen.
