Former Vice President Mike Pence the central focus in day three of January 6th hearing

(KYMA, KECY/ CNN) - Former Vice President Mike Pence will be the central focus in day three for the House Select Committee investigating the January 6th siege on the U.S. Capitol.

According to Committee aides, Thursday's hearing will say then-President Donald Trump's campaign against pence had a direct influence on the violence that erupted on capitol hill.

Some of the rioters on that fateful day were recorded repeatedly chanting "hang Mike Pence."

The hearing is expected to feature new documents and materials about what Pence did on January 6th and what happened after the Capitol had to be evacuated.

Pence will not appear at Thursday's hearing.

Some attention will also be given toward Trump lawyer John Eastman whose theory said Pence could overturn the election from Joe Biden to Trump.
