Two local men are entering the political arena

Gary Garcia Snyder and Joshua Pembleton have announced their candidacies

SAN LUIS, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Gary Garcia and Joshua Pembleton announced on Friday, April 1, that they are running for office. Snyder is running for the Arizona Senate, while Pembleton is running for the U.S. House of Representatives.

Both Synder and Pembleton share the mindset that the old "business as usual" isn't going to cut it and that new blood is needed. Both men believe in stronger borders, stricter laws, and helping Arizonans in need.

Gary Garcia Snyder is a local businessman who wants his community to thrive and he feels that he's the right person for the job.

Joshua Pembleton is a former Green Beret and feels strongly that the country could do a lot better when it comes to assisting veterans.

Both men were asked a simple question "If elected what do you have planned for your first month?"

Snyder says that he's more than ready for office and already has several bills in mind. One of his bills focuses on families who live in Mexico, but whose children attend schools in the U.S. Snyder's bill would tax those families.

Pembleton says that his first month would be the best month, he says that he has several bills that would enrich the lives of Arizonans, especially veterans.
