Carson Daly to co-anchor Saturday ‘TODAY’

NEW YORK (KYMA, NBC) - NBC News has announced Carson Daly will join Laura Jarrett as co-anchor of Saturday "TODAY."

After serving as interim co-anchor for the show since September, NBC News said Daly will make his debut as the permanent co-anchor this Saturday, November 7.

"I'm thrilled to add 'Saturday TODAY' to my weekday morning schedule. My kids asked if I'll still make pancakes. I told them, 'Yes, but I'll be making them for Laura, Joe and Angie instead,'" Daly said. "I'm equal parts grateful and excited for this opportunity."

Daly has been with the TODAY Show since 2013, where he has "conducted headline-making interviews with prominent figures across music, sports and entertainment, as well as political and medical newsmakers and everyday heroes," NBC News said.

"Carson has been an integral part of the TODAY family for the past 13 years, and we are thrilled that our viewers get to spend one more day of the week with him," said Libby Leist, Executive Vice President of TODAY and Lifestyle. "Carson and Laura make a great team, and we can't wait for this fresh new chapter of Saturday TODAY."

In addition to his co-anchor duties, NBC News said Daly will continue to co-host the TODAY Show on the weekdays, as well as to continue to serve as host and executive producer for "The Voice," and executive produce "The Voice: Celebrity."

Daly has also hosted NBC's "Last Call with Carson Daly," which ran from 2002 to 2019, as well as hosted, co-created and executive produced MTV's "Total Request Live" from 1998 to 2023.
