CAUGHT ON CAMERA: Small plane nearly crashes into elementary school in Tennessee

LEBANON, Tenn. (NBC, KYMA) - Newly released bodycam video shows just how close a plane came to crashing into a Tennessee elementary school playground.

In the video, shot on September 2, you can see Lebanon police arrive to the scene.

Where you can see the small plane just feet from the Byers Dowdy Elementary playground.

Emergency crews say the plane went down just after 6:30 p.m. Central.

Officers said students were at school when the plane landed, but they were not outside and no one was hurt.

The NTSB and the FAA are still investigating exactly what caused the crash.
