Three attacked by mystery animal in New Hampshire

LEBANON, N.H. (CBS, KYMA) - A man was attacked by a mystery animal in a parking lot in Lebanon, New Hampshire Sunday, August 30, surveillance video shows.

Footage released by the Lebanon Police Department (LPD) shows the moment a small, aggressive animal lunged at a man standing next to a U-Haul truck and tried latching onto his leg.

Police said they received reports of two more attacks involving what appeared to be the same wild animal following the initial incident on Sunday.

"The animal has been described by witnesses as either a gray fox or a fisher and has reportedly displayed unusually aggressive behavior toward people," they said.

LPD said they have notified the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department of the attacks and are coordinating with them.

"Anyone who encounters an aggressive wild animal should maintain a safe distance and contact police," they advised.
