Three injured after shooting in Indiana

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (NBC, KYMA) - Three people were injured when shots rang out last near a park in South Bend, Indiana Sunday night.

South Bend police say they responded to a Shotspotter alert in the area of East Indiana Avenue, near Ravina Park.

Three people are being treated for apparent gunshot wounds. Officers say all of those injuries appear to be non-life-threatening.

Earlier in the night, dispatch also got a call for a car slamming into a convenience store in the area of Miami Street a few blocks away.

Police have not said whether the crash and the shooting are connected.

They expect to release more details as the investigation moves forward.
