Tony Romo’s arrest on suspicion of drunk driving captured on police body camera

MILWAUKEE (NBC, KYMA) - Police body cam video from Tony Romo's arrest on suspicion of drunk driving in Milwaukee has been released.

Romo was pulled over for a traffic infraction on July 23 for "unsafe passing on the right."

The deputy suspected Romo of operating a vehicle while impaired and placed him under arrest. Romo was then taken to a police station where he was given a field sobriety test.

He requested to do exercises mentioning he's had two back surgeries, before beginning the test, the deputy asked Romo if he'd had any recent head injuries of concussion, and Romo answered, "Over the years, yes. But not recently."

At one point, he was asked if he would submit to a breath test, and Romo replied, "Oh no, we are not doing that" adding, "I've heard from multiple layers, don't ever do that."

Romo was later handcuffed again and placed under arrest. A court appearance has been set for September 21.
